From 21 – 23 June 2017, RIKILT –Wageningen University and Research is hosting the "NanoDefine Summer School 2017" organised by the EU FP7 project NanoDefine. The Summer School will offer all interested participants training on the tiered approach and practical experience and use of NanoDefiner eTool for the classification of nanomaterials including practical training on sp-ICPMS and Electronic Microscopy. Registration Deadline is 15th April 2017.
Major goal of the NanoDefine is the development of an integrated approach based on validated and standardized methods to support the implementation of the EC recommendation for a definition of nanomaterial. The Summer School will provide (i) training on the tiered approach and NanoDefiner eTool for classification of nanomaterials, (ii) practical experience and use of the NanoDefiner eTool, from handling of raw data, such as EM pictures or sp-ICPMS output, to implementation into the NanoDefiner, and processing of sp-ICPMS data, (iii) practical training on sp-ICPMS and Electronic Microscopy (EM).
WHEN: 21 – 23 June 2017
WHERE: RIKILT Wageningen University & Research, Wageningen, The Netherlands
Registration and participation: Participation to the summer school is free of charge, however participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs and own meals. There is only a limited number of places available and registration closes 15th April 2017. In October we would like to present the special issue "Future Nanosafety" published in "Chemical Research in Toxicology".
In 17 articles operation procedures for future test methods, alternatives for animal testing, safe-by-design processes and detection methods of nanoparticles are presented.
