Barium sulphate - Uptake

In vivo studies have been proving that inhaled barium sulfate (BaSO4) is not deposited in the lung and does not cause biological effects.

There are no scientific studies available on the uptake of barium sulphate particle via the skin.

Barium sulphate is not resorbed. It is secreted in its unchanged state.

No data are available regarding the uptake and risk of barium sulphate particles for environmental organisms.
